The perfect mom is always my own.
Dont give your kids a chance to compare you with others. Let them understand early that you are perfect for them, because you have been with them since they began, and you know them more than they think they know themselves.
As some others suggested, your kids might not tell you you are the perfect mom, but they know you are. They just dont want you to get too cocky. Also they dont want to admit it, coz then they have to trust your decisions all the time, and whats the fun in that! :)

I think the perfect mom should insure you eat right, get enough sleep, protect you from all outside problems, including the boy down the street.. hahaha
she should be a friend you can talk to, a person that cares about you and your future. She should support you in your endeavors and prepare you for your future.
She may nag you about cleaning, etc, but that is only trying to make you a person that someone else can live with, someone that is pleasant in the company of others outside the family. Remember, she was once your age, and believe me, no matter how old she is, she remembers it like it was yesterday and can advise you in many many things that you would never think she could.
You have a mentor that has experience and abilities, try to foster a relationship that will use her expertise for your good.

No one has ever raised a perfect child. Therefore, there are no perfect parents. As mom's, we stress ourselves out way too much about being the best mom and what we think is the best for our kids sometimes isn't. Giving your child the best preparation for the real world, including earning you way, dealing with being treated unfairly at times, value of friendship and love is sometimes the best we can do. There are a heck of a lot of other influences out there, we do not have 100% control, some would argue we have little control of how our kids turn out.

No such thing as the perfect mom. We all make mistakes and are human. But moms love unconditionally.

Unfortunately, perfect moms don't exist because they are human too.
I would think someone with an open mind, understanding, gives her children enough attention and time.

You will never be perfect--just do the best you can and accept that. The only other advice I would give is that you consult with your significant other and agree on approach to discipline, praise, whatever and be consistent.

My mom to me is perfect, she was strict as I was growing up, she forced me to do my homework when I didn't want to, she gave me advices, helped me in good and bad times. Although she was hard and strict, she made me an independent and confident woman.

Someone who is there for you, let's you try and fail, who makes you laugh and not take yourself so seriously. Someone who calls you every day or almost every day just to say hello and ask how you are. Someone who keeps her advice to herself unless you ask, someone who doesn't blame you for making mistakes. Someone who loves you unconditionally even when you do hateful things to her. Someone who believes in you, no matter what. Someone who protects you but does not coddle you. Someone you can honestly say that you would like to be like when you are a mother. Someone you always knows love you.
For the record, that is not my mother, but it is me.
