being millions of miles outside of the universe would not change your perspective of it at all. It would feel like you where still in it. The closest star to our own sun is trillions of miles away from earth. But if you where able to get far enough away from our universe it would look like a tiny dot of light, one light, unity!! and if you went further and further and further there would be nothing, absolutely, positively, nothing except for yourself and what ever you think of........hmmmm

Depends; Are you looking at it through a microscope or with the naked eye or with binoculars. I have the advantage of knowing quantum theory, a little, and as you peer into the universe of atoms that make up a single cell of any organism you can literally see millions of galaxies. I believe our galaxy is a very small part of one cell of an infinitely larger entity, and inside every atom you may be able to get infinitely smaller to see millions more galaxies... until we discover there is actually no such thing as nothing or as a vacuum.

I think notrohdis is right. A dot of light. It would be so faint you thought you were just imagining it's existence. If you saw a closer universe than ours then ours would not be of any interest to you.
That's my guess.

i would guess a a large bubble. seeing as how you would be outside of any known dimension, but you were looking at soming that was in them, one would assume that the universe is contained by somthing.
so i think it would look like a bubble
