My Mums alive and happy although 18 years ago she was involved in a terrible car accident in Lagos Nigeria.
whilst waiting for the Nigerian ambulance that took 2.5 hrs to arrive her open wounds where infected by yellow fever, typhoid and gang green also malaria from one of the blood bags,
later she was Medevacked out to Switzerland where she was kept in intensive care for over a month and given a 3% chance of survival She died and was then successfully revived. Lost her Leg and suffered internal organ problems she also had 76 Pt's of blood . apparently most people die after 50 bags
she was flown back to the UK by air ambulance for a further six months stay in hospital.
since then she has had 26 operations 3 of them pioneering.
And she is the most loving caring person that you could ever meet.
she works , drives and leads a happy life thinking that every extra day is a bonus and only thinks of the welfare of others.
I know she s my mum but I am yet to meet a better stronger person

My mother is human thats WHAT she is. She is in the living room that's WHERE she is. I love my mom alot and when she leaves for heaven I know I'm going to miss her. I can't say that I understand what you are feeling because I honestly don't! I miss my mother when her and my dad go out so I don't know how I'll deal with a death like that. I love my mother so very much she is irreplaceable no one can take her place things wouldn't be the same without her. I'm sure you're mother is in heaven watching over you and your family you'll be with her someday I promise! O=)

Amanda you will always miss your mother and I am very sorry about your loss but remember that you will be able to see her in heaven when this life on earth is over. I know how you feel kid because I lost my mother this past December and I miss her an awful lot, I also lost my Dad due to an automobile accident. Hang in there and dont give up. God bless you.

I'm sorry, losing a parent is so hard. I lost my mom in 2003 and would give anything to have her back. I lost my dad in 1985 and she was the only family I had close to me. Two weeks after she died I lost my uncle and 6 weeks after that, my 21-year old niece. I hope you know she is always with you as long as you keep her in your heart.
