Even though I know it really was a horrible movie, for some reason, I still liked Battlefield Earth. I actually thought it was more humorous than serious. Maybe that's why I still liked it. I just couldn't take the movie seriously, so it helped with the whole "suspension of disbelief". Truly though, within fifteen minutes of starting this movie, it's obvious that you're not in for a blockbuster. So, I think all those people who were disappointed by it, brought it on themselves. I still thought it was pretty cool.
Oh yeah, I LOVED Waterworld too. I think that movie really made me a Kevin Costner fan. Another movie that I thought was pretty funny. Dennis Hopper should be a comedian. I think he missed his calling.

Excellent question!
I liked parts of "Water World" myself.
I know that I'm one of the few people who enjoyed "Joe vs. The Volcano" with Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan. I could even add that I recently rented a movie I thought I would hate, but I wound up liking it, which was "Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines".

Yeah...a lot of people thought Titanic was rubbish considering it's the highest grossing film in modern history.
I like Punch-Drunk Love. Not many other Adam Sandler fans did.

I think that City of Lost Children is the best movie I have ever seen. Everyone I've met who has seen it thinks it is absolutely terrible. It was done by the same people who made Amelie.

I liked 'Waterworld' - where else will I get to see Kevin Costner throw a kid into the water?
I also loved 'Lady In The Water'.
