Throw another shrimp on the Bar' B mate. It's not a freshwater Blue Shrimp, as you stated it was clear. As the name implises a Blue Shrimp is "BLUE" and you can't see thru it. Yes, they eat fish. The next time you want to make an addition to your tank, do your homework first, find out everything you can about the critter before you just drop in the tank and watch it eat everything that moves. It doesn't sound like you buy from knowledgeable or reputable people. I'd start buying from another store.. And try asking some questions about what they eat next time.
PS. Shrimp do have claws and Pincers! Check out the "Pistol Shrimp" This is one dangerous shrimp!

If it's clear, it probably is a shrimp, but pistol shrimp are neither see-through or freshwater. I have one in my saltwater tank.

It seems this would be some freshwater species (you don't say otherwise) and if it has long arms with pinches, it's in the group of shrimp called the longarm shrimp (no, I didn't make that up!). And they are predatory on fish and other invertebrates. See the first and last selections under longarm shrimp for the kind you most likely have: http://www.petshrimp.com/shrimpspecies.html Also see Neocaridina sp. "blue", which is safe, but doesn't have the claws you describe.

ADDITION: Another site with more longarm species and a better photo of a "blue" Neocardina: http://www.shrimpcrabsandcrayfish.co.uk/Shrimp.htm?Caridina.htm~mainFrame
And check the photos of your and adult shrimp on this link: http://www.petshrimp.com/discussions/viewtopic.php?t=2045

there are blue prawns and blue crayfish (also called lobsters) but shrimp dont have pincers. very long arms with little pincers would be a prawn -- a crayfish would have a larger pincer and look like a mini-lobster.

here is a discussion i found when trying to look for pictures --
