At Shingle House Slough, boaters can watch logging tugs move boomed logs.

Contact the Forest Service Regional Office (I think Portland) ask them if any timber sale is using river to transport logs If so which forest, then contact that forest to find out when. I don't know if anyone is still using rivers for moving logs.
