why didn't all the freed slaves in the united states move to Liberia upon it's founding.?

East west homes best.Even thier miserable existance was better than being shipped like cattle in a leaky boat.To who knows where.

Those that knew of it and didn't go realized that as bad as it was here, it was better than what was in Africa.
