I had a 2000 GSX-R750 that would average between 170 degrees on a cool day to 183 on a hot day. When stopping or riding slow (under 40) the temperature may go all the way to 212 (boiling). Obviously you don't want your engine running hot all the time or it will be damaged, so try to stay out of stop and go traffic when possible...plus it really sucks on a sportbike to go less then 50 mph.

not sure of the actual temp they run at..

all the high performance bikes from Japan run hot enough to boil the petrol in the tank( They fit heat sheilds under the tank)

if your giving the bike some stick the pipes get hot enough to glow dull red... this would lead me to guess the exaughst is running around the 300--400 degrees C(may be a bit more).. the engine would be cooler than that because of the oil cooling it.. maybe 200C
