any local bands in your area that you have heard of and maybe bands that aren't all that big yet, i'm always for listening to new bands every band deserves to be heard don't you think

How about Lamb of God, Cradle of Filth, Morbid Angel, Hatebreed, Killswitch Engage, Mastodon, Deicide...those are known bands.
Local metal bands in the Q.C. A. includes Katrina, 5th Dawn, Spatterdash, and a few others.
There was a local all day metalfest on Memorial Day weekend, but I missed it! Bummer!!
