Fouling spark plugs - the lack of compression will not fully ignite the oil in the pre-mix.
When trying to start - the kick starter feels softer than normal.
Excessive smoke blowing out the silencer.
Low on power.
Black oil dripping from the exhaust, at the exhaust port.
Either do a compression test.
OR
Remove the exhaust pipe.
Look in the exhaust port with a flash light and mirror.
If you see any scoring of the piston & cylinder wall, or dis-coloration below the rings, the top end will need to be repaired.

Check the oil,, look for sparkly bits of metal floating in the oil...this is the camshaft bearings if there is any..

mine just quit running and then i got it replaced for about 150$ had more hours then i really should have but nothing was damaged. 2006 kx 200

Are you burning oil? When you goose it what color exhaust? Is it making noise? How does it performe? What gives you concern that something is wrong?
