They seem to be attracted to me :( Seriously though, mosquitos are attracted to carbon dioxide. They have special sensors which detect small changes in the levels of carbon dioxide in the air, and they buzz toward it. It's only the female skeeters that feed on blood. Males only feed on nectar, and females will feed on nectar for energy between blood feedings.

Mosquitos are attracted to carbon dioxide that is expelled from breath of humans and animals. They don't seek out peanut butter or window cleaner because they are bloodsuckers, not butterflies. They also lay eggs in standing water. The larvae develop underwater, like tadpoles.

You cannot run from them but you can fight them as much as you can , I get the spray for both mosquito's and ticks It last about a month after it rains and dries up I spray again it really works, hope this helps
