Is there a command that I can change somewhere to turn this function off and allow me to select different backgrounds?? Thanks

Easiest solution, if you have paint.. paste the image in paint then save it. Now while it is still open, you can click file and set the desktop background as..

Group Policy from the server has set your system's desktop........Even if you had admin rights, it would be changed back on next refresh (every few hours) or at next log on.

Sorry........also, any attempts to change certain system parameters may be grounds for dismissal, please read your company's computer usage policy.

Sounds like a group/domain policy. No chance of getting it changed unless you have admin rights to change it.

No, looks the Group policy has locked from the admin side.
