In the Introduction to his 1968 book "2001: A Space Odyssey", the science fiction author Arthur C. Clarke wrote:

"Since the dawn of time, roughly a hundred billion human beings have walked the planet Earth."

Clarke was a professional scientist and factual science writer, too, so his estimate must be pretty reliable. Another two or three billion since 1968 doesn't make that much of a difference to it.

If we're speaking at one time, the current population is the highest it's ever been. I believe the current figure is around 6.6 billion people.

I can finally answer a question and know that I am 100% correct. Zero people lived on Jupiter....It took all my strength not to say Uranus...ooops!

Homo sapiens? Probably about 30 trillion since the dawn of human history. Add in neanderthals and cro magnons and you can add another trillion or so.
