Light period, light brownish and only for about 4 days. been like this since january?

but i haven't been sexually active. i would go out and buy a pregnancy test like all the other things say to do, but i know that cant be seeing as i havent had sex. my least, NORMAL, heavy and normal length period was in december. i skipped about 2 months and then since then ive been having a 3-4 day very very light period. usually light blood, sometimes brownish. what else could be the problem? =/ thanks

Brown blood is just old blood but I would go ahead and check with your dr to see if there's a possibility that you could have an infection going on to cause this such as infection of the cervix.
