Urinary tract infections can be caused by sex, especially early sex. You need to make sure you are drinking plenty of water. On average eight cups a day. Try to urinate before sex and especially after sex. Bacteria gets in the bladder during sex from the vagina. Try to urinate as soon as possible after sex.

A UTI can come from having sex, but it does not matter which time the first or the hundreth. It can also come from holding the urine too long, and not voiding when you need too. Ways to help prevent UTI's are by drinking plenty of water, when you feel the need to urinate go ahead and do it don't wait, always wipe from front to back, take a shower instead of tube baths, wash the genital area from front to back before and after intercourse, avoid using femine hygeine sprays and douches because they can irritate the urethra and possibly cause a UTI, wear cotton panties, and drink cranberry juice. Hope these work for you Best wishes...

No. Going to the bathroom after sex (like, within 5 minutes), always wiping front to back, and drinking a reasonable amount of liquids is supposed to help. The benefits of cranberries are debatable; I've heard that drinking cranberry juice is useless, but taking cranberry capsules may help.

no, uti is caused by bacteria getting into your bladder. Now sometimes, intercourse can push bacteria up towards the urethra and they get in, but you can do it yourself if you wipe from back to front after urinating. Best way to avoid an UTI related to sexual activity is to go to the bathroom immediately after completing the sex act, this flushes bacteria away from the urethral opening, and then be sure to wipe from front to back.

No! They are from too much soda and not drinking enough of water. Drink plenty of water and 100% cranberry juice, and also lemon flavored water works great too. Best Wishes!

No. They are common in people who drink a lot of soda pop. Or that do not drink a lot of water.

I think they just happen. I don't get them often, but they weren't tied to anything sexual.
