We are so spoiled in the West that it isn't even funny.
Children in other parts of the world if they will starve today, we complain because the fast food take out window is too slow.
Children in other parts of the world cannot afford pencils and paper to learn in school. In the West, we complain if we don't have the latest iPod, Xbox, or other trinket.
Most people in the West have no concept of what a rough life is?
I meet people each week who are orphaned as young children. They spend years doing what ever is necessary to move to a free country, nations where war and famine and political unrest aren't the day to day activities.
Until you sit in a room and speak to someone who has been sexually mutilated, torturted, gang raped, trained to use a machine gun by their 12th birthday, have disease ridden bodies because the most basic necessities aren't available, then we might engage in a discussion of a rough life.
The fine things in life are just some things that others will not understand.

That's a tough one. We take so many things for granted in the USA. From doctors to those credit cards.( which thank goodness is less than 300 bucks) Now we have high prices of gas that makes life rough for the wallet. But we have to overlook those things in life which makes us raise cain and go on. Fine things always have a price. We either except it or do without. No need in griping about what if or why this. Take it and go on with your lives. We all have it rough one way or the other but we make do with what we have.

Because I have never had them but am increasingly becoming willing to kill others to gain these finer things. It has been rough to see others with enough food, medicine and pretty things. It is going to get rough when I start getting those things.

We are saturated with too many consumer goods. Why do we have to choose from a thousand different brands of soap, deodorant, toothpaste, and shampoo?
I'm sick of "Freedom of Choice"!!
I want some freedom "from" choice!!!
I have over 2000 CD's, DVD's, records, cassettes, and even some 8 tracks. I'll be 87 before I listen to them all...Why?
I just want to sit under a shady tree all day and eat peaches.
