Fiji is really great. But... there are many different tribes and ethnic groups. The true Fijians are trying to run the govt. but a large population of Indian immigrants has a powerfull voting block so there is a lot of strife. Fiji is not just one Island. there are many different places to see and great diving and fishing. While I was there I stayed at a place called Batiluva Surf Camp. Off the coast of Pacific Harbor it was just great. I never wanted to leave. Check the net and you will find lots of pictures and info. have fun.
