It sounds like Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS). But to be sure it's not something more serious, you really should see a doctor.
Take 1 tsp. of a fiber supplement in an 8 oz. glass of water daily (and faithfully); it will make a HUGE difference after just 1 week. No, it won't work as a laxative, you have to take 1 tablespoon for that. Not a 'home remedy', it's what my dr. prescribed for me years ago. Only thing that helps. Good luck!

Fiber, fiber, more fiber. Sounds like you need to get regular with your bathroom breaks. Eat high fiber foods such as broccoli and whole grains. You can also purchase a fiber supplement for very little cost at a grocery store. Not only will it cause a more solid "number 2." Diet and stress are probably the 2 main sources to the problem. Try to eat healthy, bland foods until you can get your digestive system back to where it needs to be. Additionally, you should always contact your physician when you are having health issues for a period of time. Hope you feel better soon :)

Yes, this is worth a doctor visit. It could get worse if you do not. This sounds like Irritable bowel syndrome which can be caused by stress or anxiety. A doctor can give you meds for this. When having an episode, you need foods that will slow you down not fiber. Eat white bread, baked or mashed potatoes, baked or boiled chicken, bananas. No carbonated drinks, leafy vegetables or nuts until you have passed this episode.

Dear questioner...this isn't the location for the style of recommendation you wish to have. There's no motive to be reluctant to visit the health practitioner. Blood within the stool, bloody discharge--all that: That's no longer typical. You wish blood to be for your arteries and veins, thank you such a lot...and nowhere else. So if it is brilliant crimson blood, that implies it is recent: potentially an ulcer or polyp or anything close the rectum. But if it is darker crimson, then it would be older, coming from someplace "bigger" for your frame. In any case, that is not anything to disregard. Make an appointment now. You'll be first-rate. You have not been consuming LOTS of clean beets, have you ever? or pickled beets? That could make an incredibly crimson stool...FYI.

What are you eating? If it's beans, cabbage, onions or other gas producing foods then try to eat a more bland diet. Some people cannot eat spicy or too much roughage in their diets. There is also a product called beano which is supposed to help.If this doesn't work then a Doctor visit would probably be in order.

why are you avoiding the doctor? Don't be stupid - go to a doctor or at least a clinic. This could be nothing, or it could be something very serious. Let a professional make the call - don't rely on what people on here tell you

I have no health insurance and understand your reluctance to see a doctor, but you really need to see one. This kind of thing is very serious. It could be your diet, intestinal problems are common in people who eat a lot of fast foods, foods with a lot of preservatives. It could be a parasite or it could be something more serious. Please go to the doctor.

You maybe lactose intolerant or something like that. You system can't take dairy products like cheese, milk, and such. Fast food is a definite no, no, for this. Also fasts food dark sodas (Coke, Pepsi, Dr. Pepper). Watch what you eat for days and see if this clears it up.

It's probably best to see a Dr. Kinda sounds like Giardia. Have been camping and had any contaminated water.

I would be scared enough by now to go see a dr. even without insurance. It may be something you're eating or worse. I'm no dr., but I know that isn't normal.
