62/9 converted to improper fractions is...?
- What you need to do is think of your times tables. 9 times 7 is 63 which is too big so the next number down would be 6. 9 times 6 is 54. Which means that 6 is the same a 54/9 right? So if 6 is 54/9, how much is left over. That can be done by subtracting 62/9 by 54/9 which is 8/9. So the answer would be 6 and 8/9.

Before I go over the next two questions, I'd like to remind you that when you add or subtract fractions, you can only add or subtract them if they have the same denominator. If they do, you keep the denominator and only subtract or add the numbers in the numerator. When you multiply, you multiply the numbers in the numerator with each other, and the numbers in the denominator which each other.

9 9/10 + 6 7/10 add and reduce to lowest terms is...?
So lets get the 9 and the 6 out of the way. 9 + 6 is 15 right? Whats left is to add 9/10 with 7/10. Since they have the same denominator, you can just add the two top numbers 9+7 to get 16/10. 16/10 is the same as 1 6/10. So add 1 to 15 to get 16. Whats left is to reduce 6/10. You need to find a number that you can divide both the top and number by. The easiest to try first is two. So 6/2 over 10/2 is 3/5 which can not be reduced anymore.
So the answer would then be 16 3/5

14 3/8 - 10 5/8 subtracted to lowest terms is...? This would be easiest to solve for when its in terms of mixed fractions. To do that, we'll start with 14 3/8. 14 times 8 is 112 which means that 14 is the same as 112/8. You take that and add the 3/8 to get 115/8. Then you do the same for 10 5/8. You'll get 85/8 for that. Then you can just subtract.

17 4/2 multiply and reduced to lowest terms is...? Umm.. multiplied by what? Or do you mean converted into a mixed fraction?

3 5/6 divided by 3 1/2 = First you would convert it into mixed fractions. 3 5/6 would be 23/6 and 3 1/2 is 7/2. When you divide fractions, its the same as multiplying it by its reciprocal. So this means that 23/6 divided by 7/2 is the same as 23/6 TIMES 2/7. So that answer, would be 23*2 over 6*7 which is 46/42 reduced to 23/21.

1/3+1/2+3/4...total yards equals? You need a common denominator for this one. What number can be divided by 2, 3, and 4? 12 would be one. So then you would have to rewrite each fraction so the denominator is 12. for 1/3, 3 times 4 is twelve so you multiply top AND bottom by 4 to get 4/12. You do the same for the rest. In the end you'd get 4/12 + 6/12 + 9/12 and then you'd add the numerators to get 19/12 which can not be reduced.

Calculate perimeter of the sides of 115 1/2 + 66 1/4 +106 1/8 + 110 1/4 in feet =
So for this problem you need to first convert it into mixed fractions and then find a common denominator. So converted, the fractions would be 131/2 + 265/4+ 849/8 + 441/4. With a common denominator, it would be 524/8 + 530/8 + 849/8 + 882/8. Then you'd add the tops and get 2785/8 feet

The price of a ford explorer is 28,000 and it just increased 1 1/4 times it's earlier price. Now the price is...?
1 1/4 is the same as 125%. So you would just multiply 28,000 by 125% (or 1.25) to get an answer.

A local food place conducted a food survey. It showed that 1/9 of the people preferred eating pasta or hamburger. If 5,400 responded to the survey, how many favored hamburgers?
For this question you'd multiply 5400 by 1/9, which is the same as divided 5400 by 9. Either way you get 600

Hope this helps!

62 / 9 = 6 8/9 This is a mixed number. What you gave me was an improper fraction. Think how many 9's you can get out of 62. Find the closest number in the 9 times table. 6 x 9 =54, so put down 6 . Subtract this from 62 ; 62 - 54 = 8. This is how many 9ths are left so the fraction is 8/9 : so its 6 8/9

9 9/10 + 6 7/10 = 16 3/5 : first add the numbers. 9 + 6 = 15.
Now add the tenths (9 + 7) / 10 = 16/10 . take out 10 of these as 1 (since 10/10 = 1) and add to the numbers : 15 + 1 = 16. You are left with 6/10. This can be reduced, since both divide by 2, to 3/5 : so the answer is 16 3/5.

14 3/8 - 10 5/8 = 3 3/4 : Since 5/8 is larger than 3/8, you need to borrow some 8ths. So restate this as 13 11/8 - 10 5/8 by changing 14 into 13 8/8, then adding the 3/8 to this to get the 11/8. Now subtract 13 - 10 to get the whole number (3) and (11-5) / 8 to get the fraction (6/8) But both top and bottom divide by 2 so do so to get 3/4 : so the answer is 3 3/4

17 x 4/2 = (17x 4) / 2 = 68 / 2 = 34 : OR reduce 4/2 to just 2 by dividing top and bottom by 2. The bottom number will become 1, so you dont need it, and you just get 2. So the problem becomes 17 x 2 = 34

3 5/6 divided by 3 1/2 : first change to improper fractions 3 5/6 = (3x6 + 5) / 6 or 23 / 6. (3x2 + 1) / 2 or 7 / 2. To divide fractions flip the 2nd one over, and multiply. So the problem becomes 23/6 x 2/7. Multiply top numbers : 23 x 2 = 46 : Multiply bottom numbers 6 x 7 = 42 : your answer is 46/42 but this can be reduced to 23/ 21. Then this can be made a mixed number by taking out 21/21 to get 1 and leaving the 2 /23 as a fraction -- for a final answer of 1 2/23

1/3 + 1/2 + 3/4 : change all to 12ths : 1/3 = 4/12 : 1/2 = 6/12 : 3/4 = 9/12. Add 4 + 6 + 9 to get 19 and put this over 12 to get 19/12. Take out 12/12 to get 1 and you have 7/12 left over for your answer of 1 7/12

115 + 66 + 106 + 110 + 4/8 + 2/8 + 1/8 + 2/8 = 397 + 9/8 = 398 1/8

28000 x 1 1/4 = 28000 x 5/4 = (28000 x 5) /4 = 7000 x 5 = 35000

5400 x 1/9 = 5400 / 9 = 600

1. 62/9... The slash is a sign to divide so what you do is 62 divided by 9 which 9 can only go in 6 times. then u will 6 as your whole number. since 9 times 6=54 you then do 62-54=8 so there for your fraction would be 8/9 so your improper fraction would be 6 8/9!
2. 9 9/10+6 7/10... What you first do is make the nine and 6 into fractions which would be 90/10 and 60/10 the reason you have ten as the denominator on both fractions not the number but the slash ones, Then add the right side numbers 90/10+9/10 when u add and the denominators are the same you add across so it would be 99/10. Now the next 60/10+7/10=67/10. I don't add the bottom because its the same denominator or part your using. Now add the answers together you get 99/10+67/10= 166/10 Now what we do is see the biggest factor they both share. 10's factors:1,2,5,10
166's factors:1,2,83,166 now they both share the number 2 so we then divide them together an we get 83/5 and thats simplified. well if u want in improper its 16 3/5. Sry thats all i can write right now. :(

1. Divide 62 by 9. That's your whole number. The remainder is the numerator. The original denominator stays the same. Then simplify if necessary.
2. Add whole numbers. Since the denominators are the same then just add the numerators.
3. You convert them to proper fractions. Then subtract numerators.
4. 4/2=2/1=2
17*2
5. convert to proper fractions...
6. ???
7. Don't know.
8. 28,000*1.25
9. 1/9=5,400 Multiply each side by 9...I think
