Now i have tried to shrink it with dvd shrink and i have tried to use clonedvd 2 and dvdfab and its the wrong kinda file to use with them two. Any suggestions on how i can burn em? I also use nero (the file says 699mb) but when i use nero it is too large past 4.7gb. Plz help.

Use Roxio Or Ulead and split the avi file in half. You will have to mark them part 1 and part 2 but that won't take away from the movie as a whole. Besides if it's that long an intermission may be warranted. Also if you are intending to upload your video to any web sites you are going to inevitably break it up any how.

Assuming you want to burn it in DVD video format, I suggest the Ulead DVD MovieFactory DVD authoring program. You can adjust the video's sampling rate/bitrate until it fits into a single DVD disc.

The file may be just only 699MB but its size in DVD format may become larger significantly, especially if it is a high quality video.

Just put it into windows movie maker, and save as movie file. I took 32gigs of video/music and did that, the file kept all its quality and was only .25gigs

Use a dual layer DVD. DVD9.
