I've always see in movies, when people get hypnotized. Is it true that you can hypnotize someone? How? And also, does it actually work like in a movie, like you can command them to do something, like a robot? Can you actually do it with a watch?

Some people are more suggestible than others. You cannot command someone to do something they really do not want to do. You could hypnotize someone with a watch, or with nothing but your voice. You can hypnotize yourself.

I also am not a hypnotist, nor am I very conversant with the practice -- however, I have read that while you are not supposed to be able to make someone do something they do not want to do or would not do under normal circumstances, it may be possible to make them do something if they have a good reason. For example, you might not be able to make a woman strip, but, if you could persuade her that she was alone, it was very hot and she could take a cold swim or shower without being seen by anyone whom she would not want to be seen by, it might be possible.
