As much as you think is adequate. Most people only give 2 weeks, but if there is a possiblity of you returning there later on, the more goodwill you generate now helps.

well why give notice?...well for one thing it helps staff to schedule your departure in a way that it does not disrupt hospital service right? so I would say that in order to stay in good standing with hospital, you need to give as much notice of departure as possible...2 weeks is acceptable,however,3 or 4 weeks would give them more time AND they may offer you a BIG raise to stay. so 2 weeks OK 4 week better for you...you could just walk out you know...ain't no slavery law says ye have to work out a notice..but whats that say about you as a person...sweety good luck!

At least 2 weeks, that's what is recommended.

If you want to be nice about it, 4 weeks.

Two weeks is good. Make sure it's in a letter.
