Man u want real rock and roll, your going to have to go to stuff like:Black Sabbith,Guns n' Roses,Led Zepplin,Aerosmith,Nirvana,ACDC,Judas Priest, but if you want new days **** taht im into here:Hatebreed,Slayer,Slipknot,all kindas heavy metal

I prefer 60's through 80's rock. The 90's had some good stuff if you can sift through the crap. The last few years though has been pretty weak. I am finding myself more and more drawn to more obscure bands like Umphrey's McGee (a Jam band almost as talented as the Dead) and Robert Randolph and the Family Band.
I agree that people who think punk/emo is rock or even good music played by people with talent are out of their freaking minds. Also bands like Hinder, Nickleback, and all those "rock" groups are a disgrace to rock. They have no talent and usually the worst possible lyrics (case in point: Lips of an Angle by Hinder).

Hell ya. I was just listening to Ace of Spades by Motorhead then curled into a Smith's tune - How Soon is Now (Johnny Marr was a genius) followed by Panama by Van Halen and finished with Wolfmother - Colossal.
Dude - screw these jerktard Emo bands. My Chemical Romance and Fall Out Boy have one of many of my nards to lick. I love new music, but appropriately done. I want my face to melt or my tear ducts to well. You know what I mean.

My favorite bands:
Pink Floyd, Porcupine Tree (prog, not classic), Rush, Boston, Led Zeppelin, The Doors, The Who, Tom Petty, The Beatles, CCR and many many more.
