I sure do.. I also remember my brother falling out of the car as my dad zipped around the corner!!
We told him not to play with the door handle!!

None of our cars even had them when I was a kid! And as for child seats? Who even had heard of such a thing back in the 60s? Air bags??? huh??? We had huge honkin great cars that would do 150 mph with a huge, gas-sucking motor, and no seat belts, no protection, nothing to keep us alive except our own common sense and driving skills.......*shiver*

I know.
We used to hang a frozen chicken on the clothes line to defrost before cooking and not wear seat belts and are still alive.

I know, it felt so weird when I started to wear one, now it feels weird not to. I used to always stand in the middle of the car in the back, unless of course, it was my turn to sit in the front. LOL And when I was tired, I used to sit on the floor, and use the seat as a pillow. We'd get reported to Children's Aid if we did that now.

Yes it is. It's amazing we survived no bicycle helmets, riding in the backs of trucks, metal slides on the playground... it really is something!

I remember sitting in the hatchback with my Aunt Linda and making faces at the other drivers. My mom would yell at us to stop. Maybe the difference is cellphones...

I was just talking about that with someone yesterday.
We were remembering how people were allowed to smoke at work, in offices and on planes, buses, in the grocery store... wierd.

yea I remember, I also remeber being able to ride a bike without a helmet, a playground with metal bars, and playing outside. How did we make it??

Yep, I started wearing about two months before I got my drivers license (it wasn't required where I live back then)... I just figured I would need it. Even my folks were like "WTF?".
