Everything happened so long ago. No slaves/slave owners are still living. I don't understand why there would be any issues still between blacks and whites since none of us alive had ANYTHING to do with past issues. Since then so many white and black families have left and came to America, so it's not like even all of our family histories were involved with slavery.
That's like asking if men and women can trust each other--since women didn't get many rights until more recently. I don't know about you, but as a white woman I have no problem trusting men, blacks, black men......ect.

I think that you can trust black people. I am mixed with white and black and my best friend is black and if I have a problem I ask him. I also trust white people because I believe the color is only a color and nothing else!!!! Blacks ,White, Hispanics European, and Asian everyone is the same; as people we are supposed to love every race that lives on this God's green earth. Sometimes I cant trust people just regular people make friends with different color people and you will be able to answer this question by yourself...

You don't want to sound racist but guess what you do. You don't have to do a study to know that both races find it hard to trust each other. I believe that there are a lot of people both black and white who would like very much to get along with each other but are afraid that any sign of friendship would be rejected or there would be retaliation not from the other side but from their own people.

All men are created equal. If they
(white folks) find that it's hard to trust them (the blacks) then they are racist people who should put away their prejudices.
I am white and Im glad I can put race behind me

Believe it or not, it's not just about the race.
Every race has it's people you can't trust, but you can't just judge someone and not trust someone for being black or etc.
Not everyone is the same whether their in the same race or not.
It's a matter of who you are not only just what race you land in.

You are funny. This is the second post you put up to raise some eyebrows, but I respect you asking.
But the study said they find it difficult, not that you can't trust them.
It's something called xenophobia. It means fear of what you don't understand or don't know. Many groups won't trust each other out of fear of what they don't understand.
But you can trust whoever you want. You can be green, and if you do me wrong... we are done!

From the racism I experienced from Blacks in the inner city while I worked there, I have a hard time trusting them. However, I'd accept a person as an individual. Even if I didn't want to do that, it's my nature.

your making it sound racist and i want to kno which "scientific studies" your using.... they are obviously put out by something that is obviously not a scientific fact at all but a view from 100 years ago! its people themselves and not the color of their skin, so get in the current year! your setting stereotypes up that shouldn't exist at all and are known to be false by those who are able to live in this day and age.

Sorry to say, but that DOES sound racist. Just because they are black gives you no reason to distrust them! You shouldn't look at color. You should look at personality. Someone's personality can tell you if they are trustworthy or not. Not their color. I know a LOT of black people that I could because I know that they are good people.
