The only real shame about this whole thing is that Cheney won't be in there with the Scooter. If there was ever anyone who has lied under oath, it has to be the SHOOTER, Cheney. I suspect that before he leaves office, Bush will pardon Scooter .

1 - He didn't.
2 - Yup, he sure did.
3 - "For...Cheney"? Making things up again, are we?
4 - No, not 2-1/2 years; My Boy George will be pardoning The Scooter on Jan. 20, 2009. After all, if White Trash Billy can pardon convicted drug traffickers, the uber-thief Marc Rich, and various and sundry other miscreants who ponied up the bux necessary to get The Fat Boy's attention, then My Boy George's pardon of The Scooter will be a non-event. Not to the wackjobs and the hyperventilating press, mind you, but then that crowd couldn't bring themselves to actually get outraged about White Trash Billy's pardons even though they stank to high heaven.
If you REALLY think that The Scooter should be put away for a long time what do you think should happen to Richard Armitage - the bum that actually LEAKED Valerie Plame's name to Robert Novak? You DO remember this simple fact, don't you?!?
Geez, why do I bother - you nutjobs are so far gone that there's no hope for you anymore. Look on the bright side, though - at least you have those of us who are adults to look after you!

Because the the death penalty isn't applicable or Clinton would be on death row. You didn't seem to be complaining about Clinton not getting ANY jail time when HE lied under oath. Why is that?
Further, Libby didn't do it; Armitage did. Libby shouldn't have been tried at all. Talk about scapegoating! The special prosecutor was an old rival of Libby's who had been beaten one too many times and wanted revenge. He is probably a Democrat, too.
But, hey, don't take my word for it. Take your liberal media's stories.

his sentence was pretty harsh. first of all, no original crime was committed since the CIA operative was not undercover. secondly, they were not able to prove whether he lied or not. the judge really hated him apparently.
let's see...did any other politician ever lie under oath?? hmmm
and let's see...wonder what will happen to Wm Jefferson who stole all the money. And wonder what your reaction will be if he has to go to jail.
In my opinion the worst offense Scooter is guilty of is not changing his name. Stupid name for a grown man.

30 months on a charge that had a 36 month maximum is 'easy'? The previous President only lost his law license for the same charge.
