Liberal? As in left leaning want to control business but let you run wild with no morals??

No, I am afraid not. Ron Paul is a libertarian. Libertarians are principled people through and through. By defintion, to be principled you must have morals and LIVE by them. This is certainly not a liberal stance as liberals try to throw all morals out the window.

From what I can see Ron's voting record is consistent across the board, his judgements have been based on sound reasoning across the board. So, I would be curious to know what liberal stances you think he exhibits.

Ron Paul is a right-libertarian minarchist. He's roughly a Classical Liberal, but not really a modern liberal, though his views coincide on some points with them.

I would say he is a libertarian not a liberal. I love the controversy this guy has stirred by telling the truth. I also loved seeing the faces of the other candidates when he spoke out. Than, of course, they had to put spin on it and twist his words around on him. Also loved the fact that he gave Gulliani a reading list. That must have burned his butt.

Ron Paul is a traditional republican conservative. He is socially, fiscally, and governmentally conservative. Libertarians would be considered socially liberal (don't really care what you do to yourself, as long as you aren't hurting anything else), and even more fiscally and governmentally conservative than republicans.

What part of his platform do you think is liberal?

If you look at his statements, votes and positions, he is very socialist on social issues. I will admit that he has a capitalist mindset on business.

Makes you wonder if he is schizophrenic since the two positions are polar opposites.

No, he's a libertarian calling himself a Republican. By whatever name, he's a member of the blame America 1st club.
