How many parents do you have that are still alive?

I have both of my parents still alive and I am very lucky and thankful for that. I dont know where I would be if it werent for them. What about you?

Sad to say, none. I agree with you. You are very lucky. Sometimes I see other people with their parents and think...you know, that could be me. I lost both parents at a fairly young age. My mom and dad were wonderful, caring people and I do have many priceless memories of them. I consider myself lucky to have those. Losing your parents also makes the loved ones you have left more dear to you. I am very blessed to have children and recently grandchildren. Love and appreciate your parents every day that you have them.

Just one....my mother. My parents had split when I was about 9 years old and my father was barely there for us. That was about 20 years ago. My father has passed away in January of 2002...just after my birthday. I never had the chance to say 'good-bye'.

My mom is still alive. I spent my entire life trying to get over my relationship with my dad so I'm a bit ambivalent about his death a year ago.

My mom is still alive, but my dad is dead, thank god, cuz he was a frickin abusive psycho. My mom was my salvation and still the one I go to when I have problems and I'm 44.

both are alive but I haven't seen my father since I was 10 so I have no clue where he is, but I haven't heard anything so I assume he is still alive

The two that made me are still are alive, yes. Also, the one that was responsible for my up-bringing (my aunt) is still alive. I thank God for her and that she still lives.
