first work on your English. and yes, you probably can get a court appointed lawyer if you cant afford on for a custody battle. I'm sure there are also some organizations that provide free lawyers.

First off, talk to the parents of the children. Ask them if any plans were made to take care of the children. If not, contact legal aid at the county courthouse and ask for help. If the parents have chosen another guardian for their children, you will have to give the kids up to the appointed guardian.

If you are the appointed guardian, ask legal aid about any welfare programs or child support payments to help take care of the children's needs. The parents should be required to turn over a large portion of any income they make in prison for child support.

Another concern that should be addressed is what happens when the parents are released from prison. You might want to be made a permanent guardian so that the children stay with you even after the parents are paroled.

File for a special proceeding of guardianship in the court that has jurisdiction over the children of your children so that you could assume custody of them as the direct relative being a grandmother.

I would hope that someone who is old enough to be a grandmother would not have such poor grammar. My nine year old daughter does not talk the way you do.
