i have three children that cant seem to keep the doors shut so now there are fl;ys in my house yuck!!
how can i keep flys from comming in when my doors are open?

I like the basil idea best. There are other herbs that could work in repelling pests too.

Another thing you can do is install screen doors with springs that will pull the door shut, since the kids aren't taking care of it.

Try an air door, that's what restaurants use. It is a fan that goes across the entire width of and is mounted over the door that blows air straight down. This is kind of joke answer cause even though it works great I don't know if it would be practical for a residence.

You can attache streamers to the top of the door, hanging down. The movement will keep the flies from coming in. If you can keep the kids from pulling them down

I found if you take batches of basil and put them near the entranceways it keeps them away. I read it somewhere and it seems to work. Also try flypaper near the entrances or those bug zappers with the blue lights.. they are fun to watch at night.. zap!
