You have to look at who has the pitching. Right now the edge would have to go to the Red Sox, Angles, and Tigers in the American League and the Mets and the Dodgers in the National League. The Dodgers are the weakest hitting team of the bunch but have very good pitching that could get them there. If I had to pick right now I would go with the Mets and Red Sox in the world series.

Red sox because they have best pitching in the al. against the mets who by far have the best team in the nl its not even close but that was the case last year but they should get over the hump this year and loose to the sox in the series

red sox and the braves. just look when the braves had chipper jones and andrew jones in the line-up healthy the braves are unstoppable. take this year for example. when chipper and andrew were in the line-up the braves were in the lead in the nl east. when the two got hurt or when they take days off they lose their whole team offensively pretty much with the exception of a few guys who just crush the ball day in and out. the braves pitching isnt to shabby this year either. smolz is off to a great start and so id hudson. the red sox are the best team in baseball. so of course they are going to make it. their pitching is pretty good they have a few really good starters. and their offensive production is never a question how could it be though when you have one of the greatest 3-4 batters ever to play the game of baseball

it will be boston in the AL, and the mets in the NL, although they dont have great pitching. Dice-K, schilling, papelbon, beckett can make it to the world series on their own, and with help from ortiz, ramirez, pedroia (however you spell it), lowell, boston is definately the best team in the AL. And the mets, delgado, wright, beltran, havent been doing great, and look at their record. Once they start hitting, nobody will stop them.

I am going to have to say the winner of the NL East Division, which is most likely the Mets or Braves versus' the Red Sox.

I am a Red sox fan and im not just saying this because the're my favorite team. But i think it will be The Red Sox and the Mets this year. Both teams have been hitting extremely well and their pitching is phemominal.
