In three recent starts, he has given up 7-8 runs in each one, and has a disgusting 4.78 ERA.

I think hitters got to him. Do you agree?

No, I think he will be fine. Look at Tim Hudson, and Beckett. Both had terrible years last season and have rebounded this year to look very good.

Halladay will be fine, his stuff is still really good. Plus you have to look at the team behind him right now too. The defense isn't great.

What about his last start against the White Sox? He had a shutout going when he left.
I think the Doc still has some pop in his pistol. He is coming off major surgery and the game he had against the Red Sox that was ugly he was also suffering from an inflamed appendix.

he is done for the night

he is DEFINATELY not done for the year or his career, doc has a lot of baseball still left in him. You can't come to conclusions like that (previous 2 losses, he was suffering with that bad back, and even though he had a shutout on thursday, he still has just come back from an emergency surgury 3 weeks prior).

Just going thru a rough stretch. Remember, he just had appendix surgery less than a month ago. His location was definitely off tonight vs the Devil Rays. They made him pay.

He is too good to be finished, look for him to rebound in a big way. When he has it all going he is one of the top five pitchers in MLB. All pitchers go through times like this and I don't believe it will last for long in his case.
