Attention: There is a FAKE jdwj76 on here that's betraying me. If you see a jdwj76 on here saying that I hate Kobe because of his fame, money, ladies, because he didn't save himself before he was married, believe him not! I the REAL JDWJ76 hates Kobe because I truly think he sucks at B-BALL and he's waaaaaay OVERRATED! My hatered for Kobe has nothing to do with his money, fame, or non-christian like life-style! I myself have plenty of money, ladies, and hometown fame! I would never hate another man for something so petty! Anyways, back to the question! My pick goes to Michael Jordan by faaaaar!

unless they all played the same position and in the same era, with the same teammates, it's practically impossible to compare. The rules of the game are different now and who knows how much more or less Jordan would have thrived in such a system.

Also, the opposite is true in that who knows how well guys like Wade, Bryant and Lebron would have faired in a time when the game was much "tougher" both physically and mentally. Guys today live and play in a game where they are far more pampered, have better medical care and support system.

MJ will always be one of the greatest if not the greatest because of what he did in his time. Very few atheletes (like Tiger Woods, Joe Montana, John Elway, Kareem) can revolutionize a sport and bring it to prominance like MJ did. He is an icon and it's far too early to say that any of those other guys ever can be an icon. Are those guys talented? Definitely. But will they ever be as great as MJ? Yet to be determined.

Now, Lebron and Wade still have yet to hit their prime. Wade is probably closer to his prime if not his prime, and I would say right now he's no Jordan. He's definitely talented, but he doesn't have the same drive, the same desire that Jordan does. Lebron, same thing. Doesn't have that winning heart,

Kobe IS in his prime, but his supporting cast sucks in a conference that is so strong. He deservedly gets the most comparisons to MJ because they are similar players in terms of their style, their drive, their hunger and of course the fact that Phil coached them both just begs comparisons. But I don't think that Kobe will ever be considered as good as Jordan because he will never be able to do it "himself" the way Jordan did.

Jordan Vs. Kobe
MJ 6 rings with Pippen. Kobe 3 with Shaq
Finals MVP
MJ 6. KObe 0
Reg Season MVP
MJ (im not sure) 2. Kobe 0

And Kobe doesn't make his team better....
the 2006-2007 Lakers team is BETTER than of LeBron's Cav's team he just can make them win games...

Lamar Odom (the 2nd youngest player to have a triple Double) is one of the most underrated young player in the NBA and Kobe reduced him to a wallpaper. Is that a team player who make his teammates better?

Jordan is number 1
LeBron 2nd
Wade 3rd
Kobe should be 1003th

MJ will always be the greatest. D-Wade is coming up. Lebron needs some consistency. Kobe needs to take out the drama.

D wade and Lebron is not even in their prime yet so i think those 2 players will be better then MJ but as off right now MJ is the man. Kobe does not compare to any of the other players mentioned here. let me put this to you in a nicest way. first of all i am a big dwyane wade fan he just happens to be my favorite player. but to be honest the best of the four would be michael jordan i mean it is written all over sports history and sad to say the there can never be another everone knows that he is the best that is why everyone keeps comparing present nba players to him. especially when it comes to Lebron james they only say he is the next michael because he carries the the same jersey number as him but when it comes to playing the same game he don't even come close.

There is no debate on this one it is MJ. Look at who he went against in his prime Clyde Drexler, Isiah Thomas, Joe Dumars, Karl Malone thats just to name a few of the players he had to go up against and look they are all hall of famers of will be. Plus all the mvp's both regular season and playoffs. Who has kobe had to play agianst so far no compared to any one of the others jordan had to. ya so jordan had good role players and scottie but he made them good players he made there lives easy. And look at what happened to pippen after jordan left he din't do anything but come off the bench for other teams. Plus oh ya the six rings he won.

michael no. 1, lebron second, kobe 3rd. wade would only be ranked along with anthony, mcgrady and other players who are above average. But the 1,2, and 3 are exellent levels. one more thing , kobe cant win a championship without shaq. kobe needs a strong center either duncan or yao ming, but without a center he will never ever win a championship.
