How dare you say that I should leave my country because I do not agree with the policies of a President that I did not
vote for. I taught for 35 years in Detroit and have had a multitude of students tell me that I was the reason they stayed out of gangs and got on the right track. I MADE A DIFFERENCE. I am proud of my life and what it did to help
my country. I am proud that I have the right to question our
country's decision to fight a war that will never be won. And,
by the way, how do you support our troops? I send care packages every month via the USO. Am I a person who should be banished to another country? I despise those of
you who say you support Bush, say you hate liberals, say
you are supportive of our troops, but what are you doing?

No, I think they should just grow up. We have a really great system of government, laid out brilliantly by our founding fathers. you win some, you lose some. If we lose, we complain. I see that as immaturity. Grow up, excercise all your rights to communicate with your representatives and continue to take part in the process of gvt by the people. I know it isn't working perfectly, but it is better than any other country that I know of. Maturity says we have to accept loss sometimes. Look at the pattern, it usually goes back and forth between parties.

Let me get this straight. Some guy comes along and is anointed by his party as their nominee, is then elected by one of the narrowest margins in history, does what more and more people consider to be a poor job as president, and I'M supposed to leave? It's the people who don't criticize a president when he is doing a bad job who are just taking up space. If you're not going to try and makes things better then what are you sticking around for?
And for your information I've been to many countries in Europe, South America and Asia.

No silly.. The reason the USA is a great country to live in is because we can say the our current president is a Jerk and is hurting us.. That is what democracy is all about.. Living here and expressing our opinion about what we like and dislike......and not having to leave.. because its a free country....
And for the record.. I Love this country and think our President is hurting our image around the world with his cowboy ways .....

People who complain about problems should work for change to make this country better. There is nothing wrong with recognizing our country's flaws, that's the only way things can improve.

I am probably one of the most vocal people on Answers about my dislike for America. during the 22 years I worked for the U.S. Government, I lived outside the U.S. for most of that time. I LIVED in 8 countries or 5 continents and a couple of sub-continents. I LIVED in the 3rd world... Haiti, the Domenican Republic, Morocco, Laos, Sri Lanka and other countries.
I complain about the U.S. because I bought into the official line about how I was keeping the world safe for Democracy... and God, Motherhood and Apple Pie... and I realized, after 22 years, that it was all NONSENSE.
America is the international equivalent of the schoolyard bully... America kicks small countries that can't defend theirselves around and Americans see nothing wrong with interfering in the INTERNAL affairs of FOREIGN SOVEREIGN NATIONS.
Since your attitude is "America, love it or leave it"... then just WHERE would you suggest I go so I can leave it? I've been out there... I have been in OVER 100 countries... is that enough to satisfy your suggestion that if I leave the U.S. I can see what other countries are like.
OH... just HOW many countries have YOU been in? How can you know what a wonderful country the U.S. is if YOU haven't been in other countries.

how would you feel if you don't know if you will be dead tomorrow or not, how would you feel if one day when you walk on the street, and one of the US solider just randomly killed you?
how would you feel if you can't go to your local stores any more, because the US soliders have destoryed all of them?!
how would you feel if a foreign country invade your country and killed your president?

We are able to disagree. That is part of our charm. There is nothing wrong with it. It also helps to be active in your community while complaining.

we should just stop trying?
America got where it is by always working to get better...
we wouldn't be better than ANY of those other countries with your attitude...
