Keyed Sash Lock on Window key is missing?

Do I have to get a locksmith to open a window with a keyed sash lock since the key is missing? Thanks.

Those locks are so cheap it is not worth saving. If the screws are exposed, just take it off and get a new lock. If you can't see the screws when it is locked, destroy it by either prying it apart or drilling out the cylinder.

Some of them can be opened by using an Allen wrench. Check and see it you have one that fits.
