Do you enjoy it when it rains?

Yes I love summer rain.
A long time ago I was cycling to go horse riding, it stared pouring, I hated it, I swore at the weather making me wet on the one day of the week I went horse riding.
I got soaked, I couldn't get any wetter, and I realized it was a nice feeling, and I never wanted it to stop. When it did stop, and the sun came out again, I actually regretted it.

Since that wonderful day long ago, I have never been against British weather, I love the variety of weather we get.

A book I have suggests that when we are unhappy we are more susceptible to infections, this is why people who hate being out in the rain often get colds after being in the rain.
I have got soaked by rain loads of times without getting colds.

What I do dislike is the way weather forecasters describe the weather as miserable, and similar terms when it is anything other than sunny.
Rain is never miserable, the people who don't like it often are.

I like to watch the rain fall on a lake or pond, i like it when its so heavy the streets turn to rivers. I love how the birds wait for all the worms to come out of the ground then eat them.I like how horses hide under the trees. I adore it when the sun comes out at the same time and i see rainbows, something about a rainbow always makes me have a special knda day.

YES !!!
Because I lived almost without rain for a year, in Saudi Arabia, and realised what a blessing rain is! (Actually, it rained three times there in that year.)

i like rain, only when im indoors. It has this melancholic flavour. I love that smell when the 1st rains fall over the dusty streets after summer?
Oh and if you're sitting at home, cuddling your love one by the fire place?? I just pray for rain! snow! HALE!

i sleep better when the rain is ever so slightly making that panging sound on the roof, it is calming and soothing.... those imitations machines that mimic rain aren't the same.... you have to experience it...have you ever been in a tent or under a tarp in the mountains and rain began, its amazing and it will entrance you into a blissful nights sleep... that's until it starts thundering.......or the wind starts blowing wildly

Yeah, the sound is beautiful. It's a change from the sun, wind, whatever. I love thunderstorms because of the sound and how hard it rains, but I lovelovelove when my little brothers come running into my room. awww

I am 63 years old, and the rain always calms me down and helps me to take it easy for a day or two and center myself. I am fine with it for about three days, tops, and then from there on, every rainy day begins to wear on my nerves.
