If you have 1Gb or more of system RAM, DVMT can allocate more v-RAM when needed. But do not expect awesome performance in 3D graphics. The very lean architecture(number of pixel shaders, vertex shaders, etc.) limits its 3D performance. Discrete graphics cards have more robust architecture, fast core clock and fast onboard v-ram (esp. ddr3). They perform better in games.

I don't like telling you this but there really isn't much of an option when you have on-board video chipsets.
The answer to this is no you cannot add more vRam to your onboard video. I wish you could.

When you get a computer, it is always better to make sure your video is separate from your motherboard. This way you have the flexibility to upgrade to something better. Unfortunately, companies such as Dell in order to sell cheaper computers like to sell low end PC's with onboard video.
You cannot upgrade them too much other than adding RAM or extra hard drives.

Your computer might be an older Dell with the onboard Intel video chip (That's what my wife has). Her computer can't keep up with the computers I have built over the years and I'm in the process of building her a new one and not using a company such as Dell.

You can however, take out your hard drives, RAM, and buy a Motherboard and video card or go to your local computer shop and ask them for a low cost solution to where you can have a better video card.

I hope this at least helps you out. You shouldn't be spending more than $300.00 MAX if you are trying to upgrade your computer because all you would need is an older Motherboard and an older video card which prices have dropped to VERY CHEAP!!!

DMVT stands for Dynamic Video Memory Technology, basically this tech. allows the computer to adjust the amount of video ram being used for different applications based on need to strike a decent balance on performance and quality. Unfortunately adding more memory to on-board graphics is impossible. Generally on-board graphics utilizes some of your system RAM as V-RAM and can only do so up to a certain amount depending on the graphics card manufacturer.

On-board graphics tend to stink for anything more than internet browsing and word processing. I might recommed getting a dedicated graphics card installed. You'll be surprised how much faster your computer operates.

You can't. You can plug in a separate video card. AGP, PCI-E or PCI, depending on your motherboard.
