Your mom isn't clueless. She knows that you're at an age that some girls start puberty. Ask her when it's just the two of you when there's not going to be any distractions. Maybe you could ask her to take you to lunch one day, just the two of you. I know it can be an embarrassing subject, but every girl goes through it and just like your mom did, so will you. She knows that and will likely welcome the conversation. She maybe wanting to talk to you about it, but sometimes, parents are just as embarrassed to talk about it as kids are.

Don't be afraid to ask question. It's surprising that your mom hasn't approached you yet, Moms tend to have that sixth sense. Puberty is not a complicated thing. It's simple changes your body goes throughas you grow. You may notice some mood swings from time to time, that's normal. Your hormones are changing. Anyway there is a lot to talk about. visit www.beinggirl.com , enter your country and they have tons of advise, answers and promotional items for personal care. Gather as much knowlege as you can, and please tell your mom. She will be hurt if she finds out you kept it from her. Puberty can be a hard subject to discuss, but regardless, it's part of life, and we have to go through it. Good Luck.

Ok. . . The 5 stages of puberty go like this 1.) around age 8-11 hormores whir inside the body with no visable changes. 2. )8-14 height and weight increase, breast buds form, maybe pubic hair shows. 3.) 9-15 breasts continue to grow as more pubic hair comes in and you period may begin. 4.) From 10-16 More pubic hair comes in and periods become more regular. 5.) From 12-19 Full height is established as breast and pubic hair growth end.

When I talk to my mom it is RIGHT before i go to bed. When she comes in to say good night and it works for me.

don't be embarrassed... there is nothing embarrassing about it...believe me, in three or four years you will laugh at yourself for how nervous you were. If you don't feel comfortable with your mom, ask a friends mom, or your nurse or any other close adult...you will be surprised how many other girls are going through the exact same thing...i was just as scared and embarrassed as you. As for asking your mom, she wont care when you ask. i did at 7. she didn't care. in fact, she was happy that i asked so she didn't have to sit down and explain to me. Ask her...it will be a lot less weird than her asking you...

Hi, I am 11 and a half. ASK MOMMA! trust me. I didn`t with bras cause I had my big sis to go buy me some but she asked our mom when she was that age. Same with your period. I had mine a couple of months ago and I told my mom right away. she already had pads and stuff ready. TRUST YO MOMMA!
