Jamal Lewis is the all time rushing leader for a single game, while playing for Baltimore vs. Cleveland on Sep.14, 2003.

Emmitt Smith unfortunately, I really dont think hes the best though. I think that Jim Brown, Barry Sanders, and Walter Payton were all better than him.

Emitt is the all time leader and he deserves it. Barry Sanders quit , yes quit early. You can't blame Emitt for loving the game enough to reach the record for all time yards. And for those of you who think I am just a Cowboy fan, I am A Giants fan who lives in Detroit!
