I took a pregnancy test today and I got 2 lines, one lighter then the other but obviously there. I haven't had my period yet, but its not due until friday. Is it possible to have a false positive since its 3 days early before my period?

I've always heard a positive is a positive is a positive. A negative is a maybe, but a probably not. I myself have been pregnant twice and both times I got a positive pregnancy test. Anytime I wasn't pregnant and took a test I got a negative result. You're testing positive for the pregnancy hormone, so you're pregnant. The faintness of one of the lines is inconsequential.

u are more likely 2 get a false negative than a false positive
the only way it could be possible if the pregnancy test is faulty/out of date
if ur that unsure go to ur doctor and ask for ablood test or do another pregnancy test and 3days is not that early 2 test i tested the same 3days before my period was due and got a positive result now am 29weeks+

Doubtful. Some pregnancy tests can tell up to 5 days before a missed period. And if there is a second line, no matter how faint it is, it means positive. I've heard of false negatives, but from what I've heard, rarely is there a false positive.

The lines do not have to be the same color, especially if you tested early. I tested 4 days early and the line was light, then again a few days later, still positive and much darker. Good luck!

Most likely not. I took a hpt on Sunday, three days before my AF was due, and it was positive. I tested again today and it was positive. If you get a positive, it is pretty likely you're pregnant. Some women are able to detect early and it takes some a long time to detect pregnacy through urine. Congratulations, you're pregnant! :)

A (false positive) is that an oxymoron or what would that be like being kinda pregnant? I wonder? I think you should see your doctor soon.

If I were you I'd get another test and take it again. I think the test you took was messed up.

if your pregnant 2 lines Will show up bc when ur pregnant u prouce a certain hormon and thats what tells the test you are.. i hope you want a baby cus u are lol. :)
