In Lost Wages avoid buffets for the most part. They have fallen by the wayside with cheap hotel rooms and cheap cocktail shows.

Vegas is money now a days, find a decent room for under $200 and I'll show you a roach motel.

One buffet in Vegas though still is worth trying is at the Rio. Expect long lines or go between rush times. And don't expect cheap.

There are just too many great restaurants in Vegas to be going to buffets. Several hotels have two or more four & five star restaurants. Some large towns don't have that many.

Vegas is a great visit, but don't go for cheap; go for the experience and the excitement.

I don't live in Vegas, never have and never will. But I'll visit every now and then. Beats Disneyland and Hawaii hands down.

It depends on which buffet and what kind of eater you are. As a profesionally trained Chef currently working in Las Vegas, I am generally anti-buffet because of the potential for contamination of the food and the lack of quality. However, at the quality hotels and casinos the buffets are generally so busy that the food turns over so quickly that it never has a chance to be contaminated. At the hotel where I work, I eat lunch in the buffet almost every day because it is convenient and the food is good, but I don't eat the high ticket items. Keep in mind that if you are eating all you can eat expensive foods like shrimp, crab legs, and prime rib (Vegas staples) then you are never getting the best quality. Personally, I believe that there are too many great restaurants to spend money on a buffet, I would rather pay $40 for a terrific steak than $25 for six mediocre ones.

Every now and then, but for the most part NO. Have you ever eaten at a Vegas buffet? My husband works at a Vegas casino ( I won't say which one ) and he said the work cafeteria's food is better than the buffet there. That should tell you something,

If you're the first person in line, when they open, then the Buffet is the way to go. You get fresh, hot food, and a great selection.
Most are real reasonable, too.. They are a "eat all you want"...

Sometimes. In Las Vegas the buffets at the casinos are fabulous. Money can be saved by getting their coupons thru the mail (if you live in Vegas), or in playing their games you get points which can be used at the buffets.

When I choose to eat out, I want to relax and be waited on. No, I don't do buffets. Also, most buffets the food has been sitting out too long and isn't too great. Just my humble opinion folks.

I like buffet, because it's cheaper for kids and you can get alot of different foods. Sizzler and Home Town Buffet rock.
