If you want to tell her go on ahead but she has a right to be a little judgemental because I think what you just did is the reason why she didn't want you dating and you just proved her right

well having sex is a bit more serious than giving a hickie. Whether you tell you mom or not is your business, but I hope you do talk to her. I think you are much too young. Your mom should have the option of talking to you and getting you some protection. Don't rely on a condem.... or did you not use one. I think what you have done will eventually make you feel guilty. And I also believe you will someday regret it. But don't regret not having talked to mom. She loves you more than BFF and even aunts. Mom needs to know.... so if you're adult enough to have sex, you're also adult enough to talk to mom and face the music.

If you feel like you need to tell her then you should. Thats how I felt too. I was 15 and I woke her up in the middle of the night to tell her. I don't know why, I just felt awful that she didnt know. She was disappointed but talked to me and it really helped. I felt really bad about what I'd done. It wasnt the boy because were still friends now, we're the same age and hes lovely. I dont wanna sound patronising but you may as well wait a bit before you do all that stuff. Im only 19 now but I look back and feel stupid. Its overrated.
Tell her. She'll probably hit the roof. Leave her to cool off for a bit and then try to have a proper conversation with her about how you felt and why you did it.

Yes you should tell your mother. Chances are that she is judgmental but that she is worried about your well being. Why is it at 14, you feel that it is ok to give a boy a hickey and to have sex. You should be worried about getting out of school.

If you really want to. If you get pregnant or get a disease, obviously you will need to tell her. Also, I would also be judgmental for doing something so irresponsible. And 14? Settle down. There is absolutely no reason to have sex at that age. Be responsible! You don't need to have sex to enjoy a relationship. Maybe you'll get lucky and there will be no consequences, but if there are, you will regret it. Even if there aren't, you'll regret it later for giving up your virginity so early.

Ya know what?! 14!!!!!!!!!!!! Sex is a grown up act for grown ups! You are not grown up! Do you want to get pregnant and have to tell your mom that?! You need to tell your mom so she can rein on your but. I know if my 14 year old child came to me and told me they were having sex they would never leave the house again! Having sex at 14 equals getting pregnant as a teen and ruining your life! Talk to your mother

I guess it depends on the relationship that you feel you have with your mother. It sounds like you don't feel comfortable speaking with her about this, so I think it would be wise to think about your approach. Tell her, "Mom, I want to be able to tell you things that are going on my life. I also don't want to feel like you are judging me...I realize that you may not agree with some of my choices, but they are my choices and I hope that you can respect that. I feel like I need to share with you the fact that I slept with so and so. I figured maybe we could talk about birth control and where to go from here. I realize the fact that you are probably disappointed in me, but just recognize the fact that I am coming to you with this sensitive information".

If you need to maybe even write a letter to her. I always found that to be a good way to get my thoughts across when I encountered sticky situations when I was your age.

If you absolutly feel as though you cannot tell her I think you should speak with your aunt maybe about going to Planned Parenthood.

Good luck, Dear!

Yeah you should tell your mom. I am a mother to a son the same age as you and I would want to know why he felt it was importent to do this.
You are young and have better things to do with your time then to make babies and make emotions that you can not handle at your age.
Please talk to your mother and your father. Decide what is missing in your life that has lead to the choices that you are making.
Make good choices kid. You are just a kid.

listen up sweetie . . . be very very careful about sex. do not get pregnant. do not get a disease. do not have unprotected sex and don't get yourself, the boy, his parents, or your parents in trouble. that's why you are too young to be having sex . . . because you are not going to be able to do all these things . . . as most girls your age have difficulty with these important responsibilities. the boy is already in trouble because you are a minor, so something illegal has happened and i am sure it will continue to happen. your mom will lose her mind if you tell her, so please follow these guidelines, since you are obviously well on your way to sexual promiscuity:

please use protection
please do not get pregnant
please do not get a disease
please be very very careful
please do not get anyone in trouble

do you think you are wise enough to do all these things? please say 'yes'!

Yes you should tell her, just come out and say it. Sorry to say but you are way to young for this, the fact that you are asking this question confirms the fact that you are immature and childish. If you don't stop, you will be pregnant within a year. Sorry but no amount of protection will keep that from happening. Condoms are so unreliable that the FDA doesn't even approve them for contraception.

Good luck

Your mother has a right to be judgmental - she's your mother and she cares about you, so of course she'll get upset when she sees you putting yourself in danger. And it's dangerous to be dating boys against your family rules and having sex before you're mature enough to handle all the emotional, physical, and mental consequences.

So yes, you should tell your mom, and instead of fighting *against* her, try to find common ground where you both agree.
