Gee not even Bush's own Party can stomach the foolishness anymore. They gave him his "Surge", it failed... Now thy're "Flip-Flopping" and backing the Iraq Study Group's Recommendations.

Will Bush call them "UnAmerican" and accuse them of "emboldening the enemy"?

Unrealistic expectations and a fantasy mind set combined to honestly believe the war in Iraq shouldn't have taken more than a week - perhaps two at the most.

The democrats have already accepted a policy of defeat - hell, their esteemed leader of the senate has even told the enemy publicly that America has lost the war - as far as the liberals are concerned, the surge failed before it was even initiated. No matter what occurs in Iraq, the liberals' self-full filling conclusions of failure will override any and all actual results.

It's a damn shame that this war has turned into such a political debacle - and with the elections coming up, most representatives are gaging the political winds and their personal goals and aspirations instead of what might be in the country's best interest.

Do you really believe the Islamic terrorists will abandon their tactics if they prove successful? Not likely.

War is a commodity as are the weapons that make it possible. It is inconsequential that civilians die in a war like Iraq which has been going in since 1991. "Shock and awe" showed the world that people are of little concern to neo-liberalism. What matters is that the supply of products that make war possible be consumed so that more war products can be produced. More war goods produced and sold means more profit. Fighting a nebulous unending war on "terrorism" insures that war and profit continue in perpetuity. "Terrorism" has replaced "communism" as a reason to continue the military industrial complex humming. Nations with economies that survive on for-profit war making are not bothered by the consequences of war, the collateral damage. It does not matter if one-half million Iraqi children die as a result of sanctions. It does not matter that people become contaminated with depleted uranium? It does not matter that hundreds-of-thousands, or millions of civilians die. It does not matter that US war casualties come home in boxes in the darkness of night. People who do not serve the neo-liberalism system are impediments to the continuous process of the commodity exchange system. Surplus value matters. Human beings do not.

Both Democrats and Republicans are too balme, neo-liberalism is neo conservatism at work.

Read the link before posting it There is nothing about the lib mentality of "cut and run" in there

The president needs bipartisan support if the United States is to sustain a long-term position in Iraq," said Sen. Lamar Alexander (news, bio, voting record), R-Tenn.

This article says several Repbubs. I don't think that's the whole party and it also states politically unpopular war sounds like Vnam when the Democrats did the cut N run with congress (Democrat controlled) pulled funding because they are worried about votes instead of what's right.

Hmmm, last time I checked I remember the General saying that the surge is working...Why don't you check your facts before you post a question questioning your intelligence.

Actually General Petraeus, the man nominated by the Democrats, has stated that the surge IS working.

Get your facts straight before you make an idiot of yourself.
