ok, true or false: since a woman's egg only lives for 24 hours and this only happens once a month, then theres really only one time a month that a woman can get pregnant?

Its really like a three day window, but since every woman is different and ovulates at different times during their cycle, you never really know when that window is unless you're doing temperature monitoring or ovulation monitoring. The AVERAGE is 14 days after the first day of the last period but some women ovulate at 10 days, some at 20. That's why they tell you to always be safe and that the rhythm method doesn't really work.

False, you have approximately two days that you are the most fertile every month. For most woman it is approximately 14 days after the first day of your period. To find out when your exact days are you can find this out two ways that are the easiest. You can buy ovulation tests at the drug store or you can watch for one sure sign it is here. You will get a clear sticky discharge, this resembles egg white. This happens during your most fertile days, this discharge assists the sperm in getting to the egg.
Something else, sperm can live up to 5 days inside you. So if you figure out your approximate ovulation time and get a couple days early your chances are equally as good to get pregnant.

Nope LOL, there are three days before ovulation that a woman can get pregnant, but there can be other times during the month when an especially fertile woman can become pregnant. Sorry

You're somewhat right, but sperm can live for 48 - 72 hours. It's possible to get pregnant from having sex three days before ovulation. Plus, women don't always ovulate predictably!

Yes, it's true, sort of. What you are referring to is the Natural Family Planning Method--get the book Taking Charge of Your Fertility by Toni Weschler.

Whether that's true or false, the sperm can live for up to seven days (according to what I've read) in an environment like the vagina or uterus. You don't have to have intercourse during her ovulation to hit that mark.
