Tell me, is it easy or difficult to be you?

On my case it is pretty difficult to be just me because i use this protective mask to hide my true feelings due to be or feel rejected by others. We forget that is harder and feels worse to take all that burden by ourselves on that mask and then when we take that mask out we feel all that weight drop onto us.

We fear that the true us will make our friends reject us but if they are our true friends then they wouldn't do that in the 1st place. That is a lesser way of suffering and one that won't repeat as much as the former. To be you, the first step is to show who you really are fearless of what others think. Do not force something you are not to either impress or opress others.
The nicest thing is to be yourself (something i have to learn truthfuly) because then you know what are the things that are hurting you and the things you really like.

ONE GOOD TIP would be to "create" 2 characters out of the blue, the 1st one will be the FAKE ONE and the other will be YOU. Try to form in the fake one all that you would create to hide something from you and in the real one, try to share all that you would hide normally.

You know, from someone else's perspective, my life is easy. Good grades are effortless for me, I'm never in trouble, I never have any problems at school, etc. But you know what? A life that may seem easy to another is actually hard for the person who is living it. Life is hard for everybody. Even though some things may come easily for me, it's hard for me to be REALLY social or make friends easily, or to just go talk to new people. There are small things that make my life difficult, and they add up. Everyone has something about them that makes it hard to be themselves.

Oh, Billy Boy! What a wonderful question this is. It is personality - wise wonderfully easy to be me. Cheerful, love to help others, see the world through some real funky rose-colored glasses BUT ALAS! comes the bad health trying to mess up all my good qualities...so, then, I struggle in my quest to maintain the real me! Illness is the PITS and can change a person for the bad if they don't keep aware!!!!
I love being me...even w/ my illnesses....it keeps me on my toes! You are such a sweetie!

I definitely throw way too many pity parties for myself. BUT-I try to remind myself and praise God that:
I am in perfect health, I was born in the best country on earth
to two wonderful parents, I have a decent job that pays a living wage, I have beautiful healthy kids, and a roof over my head.

Seriously, How much easier could I have it? And I did NOTHING to deserve it.

It's actually surprisingly hard. I have to focus on exercising to gain weight so I have to wake up really early, I'm a senior so I have college applications around the corner, I have a reputation of most put together at school so I have to keep my uniform and clothes carefully chosen and keep myself clean and fresh, I'm president of my class and the head of many school activities and fund raisers, and I have to put in DOUBLE effort because I'm blonde.

Easy! Except for the fact that you live in the same subdivision as a fat chinese dude you don't want to see in your whole entire life and that makes you and your friends lives miserable at school.

Pretty much like most of the rest of us, easier some times than others. A little tougher right now than in some times past, yet not as bad as others. Such is life --- at least it stays interesting.
