My foundation was also laid by the church and a strong set of parents and siblings. Whenever my foundation showed signs of cracking, my Dad patched it with his belt, and his love.

Rural mailman father that died when I was 11. Mother that was high school teacher and eventually Dean of Students. Never remarried. Older brother and older sister with one younger brother. All of us kids were married 2 years apart and all are still living and married.Total married years 126 years.
Background was middle to lower income when I was young. Had garden, family outings ,and all the Ozzie and Harriet stuff.
Glad I was raised by my folks. Had great grand parents also. Raised Catholic and Methodist. No regrets. Love life and think I got all that from my parents and grandparents. Can't thank them enough. Most of them are gone except for my mom. She's still hanging around to kick my azz every now and then.

"On Christ the solid Rock I stand. All other ground is sinking sand."
"For you, Lord, are a sure foundation. I will not be afraid. When the storms come, I will not be shaken, for by Your hand, I am saved"
My foundation came at an early age. My parents aren't perfect(whose are?), but they were the ones who introduced me to the concept of faith. They are also the ones who told me that Jesus was middle-eastern and Jewish, and that the Bible said He had hair like lamb's wool-so I am pretty sold that Jesus was NOT white!;)
They are the ones that taught me that people are people, and it is retarded to dislike someone because of the concentration of melanin in their epidermis. It is also wrong to weigh your friends. You get to know someone individually before you decide you want to dislike them or not, and you still need to "pray for your enemies and bless those who persecute you" and "if you love only those who love you, what credit is that to you. Even the heathen do that..."
I am working on that last one.
"Don't trip. He ain't through wid me yet."

the 3 things that pop into my head are mum, spider man and science fiction. my mother 'cause she was the only parent i ever knew and she did a pretty good job considering that i was at least twice her size. spider man since he was my only dare i say "real" male role-model i ever had growing up so much of my personality was modelled after him (most people think it's pretty funny hearing that my only father figure isn't even a real person) lastly science fiction, heh my first memories are of Godzilla flicks and movies like Forbidden Planet which i think is why i think i find myself driven to understand things different then myself and why i find so much pleasure in writing as i do

My parents were horrible, though they are the reason I am so strong today.I learned to stand on my own because of them at a very young age.Other than that I would say music, most of my creativity comes from music...And my children they are my inspiration and what keeps me going;)
