Nothing beats AVG Free Edition...they update your AVG almost every day with new anti-virus defintions. Run it at least once a week if you're on-the-net a lot. It's soooooo much better than McAfee and Norton...why pay money? Oh, you can donate to them if you wanna, plus they have other excellent items at their site, Grisoft. I got mine copy through Download.com and they gave it 5 outta 5.

AOL - Active Virus Shield is a good anti-virus program. And it is free.

I've always liked Norton. It's always worked for me(i.e. I've never gotten a Virus). However, a lot of people will point you out to more "independant" manufacturers because the moment a company gets in the spotlight, hackers focus on them to try and crack their codes.

Regardless, I still trust Norton.

Whatever you do, DON"T use any Symantec products. They lag down your computer.
1st - McAfee
2nd Grisoft (AVG)
3rd Kaspersky
4th Panda
5th Avast

ZoneAlarm isn't really a anti-virus.
it's more firewall and virus blocker, not remover.
