Why on earth would our government on BOTH sides seek to destroy our country with the immigration bill if it was REALLY that bad? Don't you think MOST people are overreacting a tad too much about this issue?

I agree. I teach English as a Second Language and when I dispute people on arrogant and factually wrong things, there is a lot of backlash. I've even had violations for stating such things.

No we are not overreacting one bit. Have you read that bill? And you are also wrong in that there is 100% cconsensus on this bill. It's getting quite a bit of push from some politicians. I've read and torn this bill apart line by line. This needs to be defeated in its present form, or we will have 120 million illegals in 15 years.

They embrace it because their real bosses have told them to. Corporations want the North American Union and any resistance to the amnesty bill will be a waste of their time and threaten some of the lobby cash they all receive.

Both political parties are supporting this because they want the votes from the Mexican base. They feel if they appease them then it will boost their votes.
As most of the politicians are finding out the people in their districts are very unhappy and showing this is unacceptable.

Because both parties have a history of supporting illegal immigration, even though thier contituencies strongly oppose it. It's a thwarting of the will of the people by corrupt political elites - and, yes, that's a bad thing.

Because they are living the good life. Envious of the elite in countries like Mexico who maintain there wealth and power even being the small minority.
There interests are not for the good of America but for the good of there best interests
