As a Leafs fan I'm biased to say yes, but if a team comes ONE point shy of tying the eighth seed for playoffs I don't see how all the people above me can be so quick and definite with a no. A first round exit is still playoffs.

Should have made it this year. Islanders were allowed to use Sean Hill for a quarter of the season and two rounds of the playoffs before it was revealed he failed a steroids test in February! What kind of crap is that? Hill logged a lot of minutes in the last 20 games and was a big part of the Isles making the playoffs. Why did the league allow a known cheater to play for so long without suspending him? Bettman needs to answer this.

i think of they could squeeze in next 365 days. they are going to in all probability have Kadri interior the lineup which will desire to help the offense. Their protective team is sweet. they only need some extra huge gifted forwards. In an interview on television, Burke pronounced he wasn't searching for an prolonged rebuilding technique - unlike a 5 365 days plan. So, i think of he believes the Leafs could be Cup contenders in as low as 2 years... i'm hoping he makes it ensue. the large Leafs followers of Toronto deserve plenty.

I wouldn't count on it. We need a new general manager. The next month and half will be telling. The summer is the time when the team is shaped for next year by trades, free agent signings, and choosing the correct players to re-sign, and the ones to let go.

Depends if Ferguson can get his head out of his as$ and do something worthwhile. If he can finally understand the salary cap, then yes. He's almost like the George Bush of hockey now that I think about it....

Go Leafs...

They darn well better! None of this last minute, squeaking into the playoffs and having to rely on outcomes of other games to determine their destiny.... We should all be asking ourselves, how are they going to pull it off?

Sure, if they move to the AHL and then it's a first round exit.
