--Drama-Gone with the Wind. Beautifully camera work, epic story, great costume design, a true classic
--Sci-fi-Star Wars, episode iv, not the special-edition rerelease. The effects were stunning when it was made, even though they seem sub-par now. The epic scope of the storyline, melding fantasy and science fiction, drew in fans by the millions and continues to do so.
--Romance-Casablanca. Another classic. So many great lines, a strong leading man and leading lady, good music, and an ending that isn't all sunshine and rainbows.
--Horror- Dawn of the Dead, the old version. For inspiring my favorite video game of the past couple years, Dead Rising
--Action-The Street Fighter, starring Sonny Chiba. Red paint blood and all, this is an awsome Kung-Fu movie (and yes, I know Chiba does karate, not kung-fu).
--Comedy-Shrek. I'm a sucker for fairy tales, plus add on the crude humor.

Horror: Red Dragon - The introduction of Hannibal Lecter to the big screen.
Comedy: Caddyshack - Just for the number of incredible quotes and memorable moments.
Romance: Annie Hall - Woody Allen is (in my opinion) a genius, his take on relationships is brilliant.
Action: I Come in Peace - Being male, the guns in this flick were mindblowing.
Western: Unforgiven - Eastwood's speech while leaving town towards the end among the finest soliloquies ever filmed.
Drama: (tie) Godfather 2 and Apocalypse Now - The performances by DeNiro and Sheen respectively are among the finest ever filmed, coupled with incredible screewriting and direction.
